Abstract: Piper betle is glorified as evergreen and perennial plant that God designed and have given the shape of his own heart. The heart shaped of Piper betle leaves are initiate in ancient Sanskrit texts, include Charaka, Sushruta Samhita and Astanga Hradayam. Piper betle L. has been use in Chinese, Indian traditional medicine for centuries. The purpose of it is to reveal the possible effect of this plant in the development of therapeutically active herbal drugs.
