Abstract: Two iridoids - valechlorine, isovaleroxyvaltrate hydrine - were isolated by column chromatography from roots and rhizomes of Valeriana hardwickii. Additionally, three flavonoids - linarin, neobudofficide and rhoifolin - were also isolated by the same technique from aerial parts. Their structures were elucidated by spectral data.
