Cadmium removal by the media prepared from two marine algae Sargassum muticum (yendo) Fensholt, 1955 and Cystoseira tamariscifolia (Hudson), in the bay of the star in Mauritania

Abstract:
The water pollution is a deterioration in its quality and nature that makes it dangerous and (or) disturb the aquatic ecosystem. The work of loading the port of Nouadhibou and discarded waste caused the major problems. National and international sectors (Associations, Ministers, Universities...) directed towards finding suitable solutions to minimize the dangers of this problem. In this work, we have prepared materials from shredded seaweed Sargassum muticum and Cystoseira tamariscifolia. Also metal solutions were prepared by simple dissolution of the Cadmium nitrate in distilled water. Masses of shredded seaweed have been in contact with Cadmium solutions to determine the maximum diffusion of algal metal bracket. The system is stirred, and the solutions are then filtered and analyzed by ICP (Inductively Coupled Plasma). We analyzed also the textural supports by electron microscopy, elemental analysis and by infrared spectroscopy before and after contacting with the metal. The results obtained during the kinetics of Cadmium adsorption of ambient conditions show that shredded seaweed Sargassum muticum and Cystoseira tamariscifolia have extremely high capacity for adsorbing the wrapping. This was also confirmed by the textural analysis by electron microscopy, elemental analysis and by infrared spectroscopy before and after the material contacting with the metal. So after these analyzes we conclude that the use of Sargassum muticum and Cystoseira tamariscifolia is an alternative to the protected bay canvas because of these algae that occurs naturally in the aquatic ecosystem of this region.
