Abstract:

A field experiment was conducted to determine the response of integrated plant nutrition on growth, flower yield and quality of jasmine at Satpuda Botanic Garden, College of Agriculture, Nagpur from December, 2015 to August, 2016 in randomised block design with ten treatments of integrated nutrient management viz., T1 - 100% N (Urea), T2 - 100% N (Urea) + Azotobacter + PSB, T3 - 75% N (Urea) + Azotobacter + PSB, T4 - 100% N (Vermicompost) + Azotobacter + PSB, T5 - 100% N (Cow Dung Slurry) + Azotobacter + PSB, T6 - 100% N (Farm Yard Manure) + Azotobacter +PSB, T7 - 50% N (Vermicompost) + 50% N (Cow Dung Slurry) + Azotobacter + PSB, T8 - 50% N (Cow Dung Slurry) + 50% N (Farm Yard Manure) + Azotobacter + PSB, T9 - 50% N (Vermicompost) + 50% N (Farm Yard Manure) + Azotobacter + PSB and T10 - 100% N (Cow Dung Slurry). The treatments were imposed on four year old plants of Jasminum sambac (L).The results revealed that, significantly earliest sprouting and maximum sprouts plant-1, length of primary shoot, secondary laterals primary shoot-1, weight of 100 flower buds, flower buds plant-1, flower yield plant-1, diameter of flower bud and shelf life of flower were recorded when the jasmine plant treated with 100% N (Urea) + Azotobacter + PSB followed by 100% N (VC) + Azotobacter + PSB, whereas, minimum days for emergence of first flower bud were required when the plants treated with 100% N (VC) + Azotobacter + PSB.
