Screening of nutritional factors from some wild vegetables in Poladpur

Abstract:
Nutritional factors like proteins, carotenoids, polyphenols, total flavonoids, reducing sugar, total sugar, starch, ascorbic acid analysed from six wild vegetables. These factors were analysed by different methods. It was observed that leaves of
Clerodendrum serratum contain higher protein, carotenoids, total polyphenols, total flavonoids and ascorbic acid as compared to other studied wild plants. Leaves of
Cassia obtusifolia contain high amount of starch.
