Abstract: Research work was undertaken in dolichos bean (Lablab purpureus L.) genotypes to identify suitable germplasm for cultivation with high pod yield and quality traits. The study reveals that highly significant difference were observed for all the sixteen traits. Mean performance showed that Arka Jay (912.0 g) registered the highest pod yield per plant and lowest by Glory (228.5 g). From the nutrient point of view, the genotype Sarpan Seeds recorded highest protein content (3.84g) whereas Bhopal local for pod fiberness and Glory for highest total sugar content (1.25%). Hence, these genotypes could be better utilized for further breeding programme for the improvement of pod yield and other quality parameters.
