Effect of weed management on growth yield and economics in transplanted scented rice under tribal villages of M.P.

Abstract:
Rice (
Oryza sativa L.) is staple food crop for millions of people in the world. It is extensively cultivated in India in diversified ecologies. The on farm trials were conducted in the area of 100m
2 for all the treatment at farmer’s field. The experiment comprised 4 treatments viz. post emergence application of
bispyribac sodium @ 25g a.i./ha, post emergence application of
azimsulfuron @ 35g a,i, /ha, pre emergence application of
butachlor @ 1 kg a.i./ha (farmer’s practice-1), and weedy check (farmer’s practice-2), were conducted at each farmer’s field. According to results of present experiment bispyriback sodium @25g a.i./ha was proves significantly superior over all other herbicides and farmers practices. The application of azimsulfuron @ 35 g a.i./ha was also found second best treatment for weed control in transplanted scented rice in sheopur district of Madhya Pradesh.
