The anthracnose or fruit rot of chilli caused by Colletotrichum capsici (Syd.) Butler and Bisby cause huge losses in India. Total eighteen Trichoderma sp. isolates, Two Pseudomonas fluorescens isolates and two Bacillus subtilis were evaluated for their antagonistic activity against C. capsici by dual culture technique in vitro. Among the fungal and bacterial bioagents tested, T. longibrachiatum Tl 1 (78.15%) and P. fluorescens Pf 1 (64.81%) were effective in inhibiting the mycelial growth of C. capsici.
