Ayurvedic management for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder [ADHD] in child: A single case study

Abstract:

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD is the most common behavioral disorder in children. It is interested in social, academic and professional activities and is characterized by apathy, impatience and curiosity. In Ayurveda, diseases related to mental and behavioral disorders are discussed in the Unmada section. Therefore, based on the signs and symptoms, it may be related to Unmada. This study was conducted at our Kaumarabhritya OPD and IPD, Ayurvedic Medical College to evaluate the effectiveness of Ayurvedic treatment options in treating ADHD in children. Ayurvedic treatments such as Ayurvedic Shaman Aushadhi, Shirodhara and Nasya were followed and evaluated before, after and during the treatment. The treatment has been shown to be effective in treating ADHD.
