A review article on Shitapitta (Laghutrayis)

Abstract:

Understanding Shitapitta (Urticaria) in Ayurveda: In Ayurvedic medicine, Shitapitta, Udard, and Kotha are recognized as skin disorders analogous to urticaria in modern science. These conditions share similar symptoms and causative factors.
Etiology and Symptoms: Shitapitta arises from Virudhahara Sevan (incompatible dietary habits) and doshaprakopaaka hetu (imbalanced doshas). Specifically, Vata and Kapha doshas combine with Pitta dosha, and triggering symptoms like: Inflammation resembling insect bites (Varti Damshta Samsthana Shotha)
    Severe itching (Kandu Bahula).
    Excessive pain (Toda Bahula).
    Vomiting (Chardi).
    Fever (Jvara).
    Burning sensation (Vidaha) and - Excessive pain (Toda Bahula).

Prevalence: Urticaria affects approximately 20% of individuals at some point in their lifetime. 
In laghutraya various panchakarma explained in shitapitta so we are taken a brief description about study of panchakarma in shitapitta according to laghutraya for this particular article.
