Author(s):

Dr. Ashwini Kaduba Gawai and Dr. Sanjay A Pawade

Abstract:

An original contribution of Ayurveda is the subject of Rogamarga (disease pathway, seat, locality, the channel of diseases). Rogamarga, which is the real path, mode, or manner in which the disease progresses, is essential to the samprapti janana. It also provides insight into how the disease will manifest itself. Thus, rogamarga determines all conditions such as the incidence, progression, and recurrence of the disease. The subject Rogamarga represents a unique interaction between many tissues and organs. Knowledge of Rogamarga helps us understand the dosha gati, the disease process in terms of manifestation as well as management (chikitsa). This review article will focus on the significance of Rogamarga and its involvement in the appearance of vyadhi (disease). This conceptual study is useful in the treatment of different progressive chronic diseases.
