Background: This study aims to standardize Ashtang Hrudayokta Dushivishari Agad (AHDA) using modern scientific techniques to ensure its quality and safety for integration into Current practices in Ayurveda.
Objectives: To investigate the organoleptic, physicochemical, and chromatographic properties of AHDA.
Methods: The study involved qualitative and quantitative analysis of the formulation using techniques like organoleptic evaluation, physicochemical testing, and high-performance thin- layer chromatography (HPTLC).
Results: The analysis revealed the presence of piperine, a bioactive compound known for its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. The study also determined the physicochemical parameters of the formulation, such as pH, loss on drying, ash content, and extract yields.
Conclusion: The findings of this study provide a scientific basis for the traditional use of AHDA, supporting its potential therapeutic applications. The research highlights the importance of validating AHDA using modern scientific methods to ensure its relevance and safety in contemporary healthcare.
