Dushta Vrana is a rupture of continuity of body tissue is called Vrana (non-healing ulcer). Normally wounds are healed by itself with hygiene. Factors affecting on wound are Contamination of wound, insufficient blood supply, tissue tension and radiation are the local factors are responsible for delay in wound healing. In Ayurveda non healing ulcer can be correlated with Dushta Vrana. The presence of Dushta Vrana can damage the condition of the patient. Acharya Shushruta mentioned Shashti (60) upakrama [1] for management of Vrana. Acharya charaka classified vrana into 20 types among them dustha vrana is one of them.
