Sapindus Mukorossi (Reetha), also known as soapberry, is a versatile fruit valued for its eco-friendly applications as a natural detergent and its therapeutic properties, including anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and insecticidal effects. This study focused on extracting saponins from Reetha using two methods: Soxhlet extraction and maceration, with methanol as the solvent. Both methods demonstrated high efficacy, with maceration emerging as a viable alternative due to its lower resource requirements and reduced environmental impact. While the study did not assess the purity of the extracted compounds, it highlights the potential of sustainable extraction methods and positions Reetha as an eco-friendly resource for various applications. Future research could explore its broader applications and impact on sustainable practices.
