Abstract:

Vitamins A, C, and folic acid are vital for healthy skin and are abundant in Carissa carandas, also referred to as Karvanda. The purpose of this study was to create and assess a herbal face wash with extract from Carissa carandas. Glycerin, surfactants, and extract from Carissa carandas were combined to create the face wash. The physical properties, pH, viscosity, and antimicrobial activity of the prepared face wash were assessed. According to the findings, the face wash was suitable for skin, had a pH of 5.5, and demonstrated strong antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli and Staphylococcus aureus. Additionally, the face wash showed good moisturizing and cleansing qualities. The face wash may be a natural solution for a number of skin issues, including wrinkles, acne, and hyperpigmentation, because it contains vitamins A, C, and folic acid. The results of this study indicate that Carissa carandas' herbal face wash may be a useful supplement to current skincare products, providing a safe and efficient way to keep skin looking young and radiant.
