Abstract: An experiment was conducted to study the “changes in physical parameters of cashew apples” of five different varieties at ambient and cold storage conditions. From the study it was observed that, weight and volume was found to be decrease whereas, specific gravity, PLW and spoilage was increased with increase in storage period. Among the different interactions, interaction T5S2 (Vengurla-8 at cold storage) recorded best results with respect to weight, as this interaction was significantly superior over all other interactions. This interaction also showed best result with respect to volume and specific gravity. Even T5S2 was at par with T1S2 and T2S2 who have recorded best results with PLW and spoilage, respectively. Hence, in the study of changes in physical parameters of cashew apples during storage, interaction T5S2 was found to be best.
