Abstract:
One new unsaturated hydrocarbon named hexatricont-1-ene [1] was isolated along with seven known compounds; lupeol acetate [2], lupeol [3], friedelin [4], β-sitosterol [5], stigmasterol [6], 3, 4-dihydroxybenzoic acid [7] and β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside [8] were isolated for the first time from the leaves and stems of Ficus trigonata. The structures of these compounds were characterized by spectroscopic methods (IR, UV, NMR, EI/MS). Different plant extracts showed moderate cytotoxicity, weak antioxidant activities and significant antimicrobial activities.
