Abstract: The medicinal plants are widely used by the traditional medical practitioners for curing various diseases in their day to day practice. Mimosa pudica also been suggested to posses antinociceptive, antihyperglycemic, antivenom, immunomodulatory, anticonvulsant, antihepatotoxic, antifertility, diuretic and posses wound healing activity. These pharmacological studies have established a scientific basis for therapeutic uses of this plant. In this article attempts were made to review pharmacological, phytochemical and medicinal properties of plant Mimosa pudica.
