Abstract:
A glyceride compound was isolated from the seeds of
Wrightia tinctoria (Apocynaceae). Their structure was established, on the basis of spectroscopic data. The ethanolic extract of
Wrightia tinctoria seeds packed in silica column and column was eluted with 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50% petroleum ether and chloroform mixture solvents. The F
6 fraction of 20% elutes assigned as Glyceryl-1-linoleryl-2-achidyl-3-docos-9```, 12```-dienoate. It was found to be pale yellow color liquid; its structure was assigned on the basis of IR, 1H NMR,
13CNMR and MS analysis.
