Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted at Rajasthan College of Agriculture, Udaipur during
Kharif 2007 and 2008 to evaluate the feasibility of tillage and weed management practices for obtaining maximum growth parameters and chlorophyll content
of soybean
comprised ten treatments laid out in split plot design with three replications. Conventional tillage gave significantly highest plant height, dry matter accumulation, stover and biological yield and highest chlorophyll content. Hand weeding twice gave significantly highest plant height, RGR, CGR, seed yield, stover yield and highest chlorophyll content. Next best treatment were rotavator tillage and imazehapyr100 g ha
-1, with respect to above parameters
amongst all weed control and tillage practices.
