Abstract:
A field experiment was conducted during winter season 2015-16 and 2016-17 at Main Experiment Station, Department of Vegetable Science, Narendra Deva University of Agriculture and Technology, Faizabad (U.P.) to study the response of different levels of nitrogen and spacing on growth, yield of rabi onion. The experiment was laid out in randomised block design (factorial) consisting of ten treatments combination with three replication. The treatment tried under present investigation were 0, 90, 110, 130 and 140 kg N/ha with 15x10 cm and 15x15 cm spacing along with constant dose of 60 kg P2O5 and K2O ha-1. Growth attributes were recorded at five stages of plant growth 30, 45, 75 and 90 DAS. While yield attributes were taken at the time of harvesting. The result revealed that the N4(140 kg/ha) was found best suitable on growth, yield of onion. The S1 (15×10cm) was found best suitable on growth, yield of onion. The N3 (130Kg) combined with S1(15×10) of nitrogen and spacing was found best suitable on growth, yield of onion.
