Abstract:
A study entitled “Studies on integrated nutrient management on productivity of summer maize in Chhattisgarh plains” was conducted in 2016-17 during the
summer season at the Research Farm of Bairister Thakur Chhedilal (BTC) College of Agriculture & Research Station (CARS) Bilaspur (C.G.). To study the effect of integrated nutrient management on growth parameters of summer maize in Chhattisgarh plains. The experiment was laid out in RBD design with three replications keeping 10 treatments. The recommended dose of fertilizers for maize was 120: 60: 40 kg ha
-1 N, P
2O
5 and K
2O, respectively and applied through urea, single super phosphate, muriate of potash, FYM and vermicopost respectively. Crop was sowing on 28 Jan 2017 and harvested on 18 May 2017. The results revealed that Application of 75% RDFN + 25% N through vermicompost recorded maximum Leaf area index (LAI) and crop growth rate (CGR ) at 30, 60 and 90 days after sowing and at harvest.
