Abstract:
Yield data promising genotype of chickpea of Chhattisgarh state across 6 varied environments were subjected to genotype X environment interaction (GEI) and yield stability analysis to determine the suitable varieties for varied environments. The Additive Main Effects and Multiplicative Interaction was used to describe GEI and adaptation to certain environments. The combined ANOVA indicated significant differences between varieties and environments as main effects. IPCA 1 axes explained 68% of the total G x E interaction with the IPCA 2 axes explaining 32% of the interaction. They were significant in the ANOVA analysis and that indicated that the AMMI stability value was the best fit for the available data. ASV ranking provides the most stable all these.
