Abstract:
The field experiment was conducted on the farm of Pomology Department of Horticulture, College of Agriculture, VNMKV, Parbhani during
Ambia bahar 2016 and 2017 in order to study management of pomegranate aphids with newer insecticides. The results revealed that treatment with thiamethoxam 25 WG @ 50 g a.i./ha was found most superior in reducing the population of aphids followed by flonicamid 50 WG @ 75 g a.i./ha and fipronil 5 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha. As regard the safe of insecticides to natural enemies, the treatment comprised of lambda cyhalothrin 5 EC @ 15 g a.i./ha and fipronil 5 SC @ 75 g a.i./ha were highly toxic to coccinellids and chrysopids, whereas, buprofezin 25 SC @ 250 g a.i./ha and cyantraniliprole 10.26 OD 75 g a.i./ha were found comparatively safer.
