Abstract:
A study was carried out during
rabi 2015-16 at Research Farm Dhablan, Khalsa College, Patiala, Punjab. Plant height increased linearly with successive increment in nitrogen levels at all the crop growth stages. Highest seeds per siliqua were also obtained in 70 kg N ha
-1, whereas test weight was maximum with 100 kg N ha
-1. Seed yield of 22.71 q ha
-1 was obtained with the application of 100 kg N ha
-1, which was at par with 130 kg N ha
-1 but significantly higher than 70 kg N ha
-1.
