Abstract: A field experiment conducted to assess the impact of potash application through gliricidia green leaf manuring on yield and nutrient uptake by cotton in Vertisols revealed that the use of gliricidia green leaf manuring in conjunction with chemical fertilizers resulted in higher seed cotton yield and nutrient uptake by cotton. The application of 100% NP + 10kg K (inorganic) +20 kg K through gliricidia was found to be beneficial for higher yield and nutrient uptake by cotton in Vertisols.
