Abstract:
An experiment was conducted at the Plant Pathology Laboratory, department of Plant Pathology, N.M. College of Agriculture, Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari. Phytoextracts of nine plant species were evaluated
in vitro for their bio efficacy against
C. capsici. All the phytoextracts were found effective in inhibiting the growth. Among them, extract of neem (
Azadirachta indica L.) (73.75%) was proved excellent in inhibiting mycelial growth of the pathogen. Next best in order of merit was marigold (
Tegetes erecta L.) (70.42%), Ginger (
Zingiber officinalis Rosa.) (67.08%)
, turmeric (
Curcuma longa L.) (62.92%), babul (
Vachellia nilotica L.) (60.42%) and tulsi (
