Abstract: The experiment was conducted at new area Farm, Department of Forage crops, Tamil Nadu Agricultural University, Coimbatore, to evaluate the quality of different crops under hydroponics fodder production system during October-December 2017. The treatment consist of fodder maize, grain maize, fodder bajra, grain bajra, barley, wheat, oats, fodder cowpea, grain cowpea, horse gram, soybean and Lucerne. Among the different crops under study, fodder maize, grain maize, grain cowpea and horse gram found to possess quality fodder under hydroponics fodder production system and recorded higher shoot length, chlorophyll index, total protein content, total protein yield, crude fat content and crude fat yield. These crops were followed by fodder cowpea.
