Abstract:
Recently, there has been a global surge of interest in herbal drugs, which have been in use for centuries in traditional Asian schools of medicine. Current research on plant-based drugs continue to provide new remedies to mankind. The weed Rabonlata (
Mikania micrantha Kunth.) has medicinal properties and is widely used in ethnomedical practice in India and other south-east Asian countries. The present study reports comparative HPTLC finger-printing studies of the fresh and dried leaves of Rabonlata (Mikania micrantha Kunth.) and pharmacognostical studies.
