Abstract: Pakistan has variety of medicinal herbs, shrubs, and other plants, useful to treat wide range of diseases. Medicines obtained from plants have fewer side effects and are inexpensive. Natural products obtained from the biologically active plants extract are being used to explore new antibiotics to treat infectious diseases. Plants extracts are comprised of herbal antioxidants which help to boost immunity against diabetes by inhibiting peroxidation chain reaction. Alkaloids, flavonoids, and other biologically active compounds extracted from the different parts of medicinal plants have great potential to inhibit α-glucosidase.
