Wild edible fruits are mostly occurred in those natural environmental conditions that are least affected by human interaction. In this review, some important wild edible fruits of Mandi district with immense potential to cure a number of diseases have been documented. Most of these wild edible fruits belongs to the families of Rosaceae, Moraceae, Apocyanacea, Berberidaceae, Myricaceae, Elaeagnaceae These wild edible fruits are rich source of nutrients, minerals, fibers and bioactive compound. Due to high medicinal and nutritional values, wild edible fruits are gaining more popularity word wide. Some of them have been used as medicines and some are categorized as functional food. In the present review, we have precisely recorded the medicinal importance, botanical description, nutritional composition and socio-economic role of these wild fruits.
