Abstract:

Traditional medicines (TMs) are very important and employ natural products. Natural goods have been used for hundreds or even thousands of years over the world. Due to their distinct chemical variety, which has developed over millions of years, natural products have a wide range of biological activity and drug-like qualities. The Aristolochiaceae family includes the enormous genus Aristolochia, which has more than 500 species. As a member of the Aristolochiaceae family, Aristolochia bracteolata is an herbaceous perennial medicinal plant with dark purple tubular blooms and cordate leaves. In traditional medicine, Aristolochia bracteolata is used to treat snakebites, lung irritation, cancer, and stomach disorders. Additionally, it is used to treat fever, malaria, and tumors. Alkaloids, flavonoids, terpenoids, and phenolic compounds are among the rich phytochemical makeup of A. bracteolata that contributes to its therapeutic properties.
