Oral hygiene has been a priority since ancient times and remains crucial in modern healthcare. With numerous mouthwash formulations available, choosing the most suitable option can be difficult. Herbal mouthwashes have recently gained interest for their ability to control dental plaque and gingivitis, especially when used alongside brushing and flossing. This study focuses on developing a herbal mouthwash using natural ingredients like Guava, Pomegranate, Neem, Propolis, Tulsi, Green Tea, Cranberry, and Grapefruit, known for their antimicrobial and therapeutic benefits. Quality assessment was conducted through Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), followed by physical evaluation, pH measurement, stability analysis, and antimicrobial testing. Results demonstrate that the herbal formulation is effective, safe, and cost-efficient, making it a suitable alternative to chemical-based products. This research supports the broader use of herbal mouthwashes to enhance oral health and reduce potential side effects associated with synthetic formulations.
