Abstract:
Research trials was conducted at Agricultural Research Farm, Institute of Agricultural Sciences, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi for two consecutive
rabi seasons of 2015-16 and 2016-17 to evaluate the physical traits in linseed imparting resistance to budfly,
Dasyneuralini (Barnes). The germplasms of linseed were evaluated under field conditions to know the biophysical basisof resistance against linseed bud fly. Among the physical parameters of linseed bud structures (i.e. length and width of bud) were observed to be positively and significantly correlated with bud fly infestation with pooled (r) values of 0.812 and 0.841, respectively.
