Abstract: In the present paper, principal components analysis technique has been described to ascertain the best wheat verity by taking proper weights of important characters in the plant breeding experiments. The proposed method has been done for both using correlation matrix and variance covariance matrix. For illustration purpose, we used the data based on ten wheat varieties of multiple characters with three replications in randomized block design.
