Abstract:
The laboratory studies conducted on the feeding potential of the <em>Coccinellidae</em> predator, <em>Menochilus sexmaculatus</em> (Fabr.) on mustard aphid, <em>Lipaphis erysimi</em> revealed that the neonate grub just after hatching start feeding on chorion of the eggs, and then feeds on the aphids. The feeding potential increased consequently from 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th instar by consuming an average number of 38.64±0.13, 55.57±0.78, 65.42±0.78 and 75.86±0.55 aphids/day respectively. Maximum number of aphids was consumed by adult of 92.20±1.02 aphids/day.
