Abstract: Apamarga tandula described in ayuvedic samhitas like Charak samhita, Susruta samhita, Astang hridye etc. It is very important ayurvedic medicinal plant. Which is used in different diseases like obesity, jaundice etc. It is also used in making of ksharsutra in ayurveda. In the present study different parameters used for the analysis of seeds of Achyranthes aspera L. like Determination of foreign matter, Loss on drying, Total ash value, Acid insoluble ash hydro-alcoholic extractive value, pH, Qulitative Phytochemical Screening, UV-Vis spectroscopy.
